Paper selection
I use mostly watercolour paper without acid 300 lb or more. I work generally on fine or medium grained paper. I have no preference for a particular label. Even some papers give really desastrous results, most of papers fit to me. I like using square size. It changes of the traditionnal "sheet" size.
Preparation
Even it's not compulsory, for I use thick paper, I have got into the habits of lie the paper on a board. I get it wet totally under the water, I wait several minutes before stetch it and fix it on four edges with gummed paper on the board.
